Internursing Memocare is the home care service dedicated to the care of people with cognitive impairment and to the support of their family entourage.

MISSION

Internursing Memocare works so that people with cognitive decline can stay at home for as long as possible, maintaining a good quality of life. Memocare wants to enhance the person's residual abilities and stimulate their self-sufficiency, respecting their personal history and wishes. The goal is to provide individualized care, which takes into account the environmental and social context in which the person lives, to accompany them during the course of the disease, also effectively supporting their family, relieving the caregiver as much as possible.

HOW WE WORK

Internursing Memocare provides assistance to people with cognitive decline, in the initial and advanced stages of the disease. It uses a multidisciplinary team composed of:
  • Clinical nurse specialists in geriatrics and gerontology (coordinators);
  • Family and community nurses;
  • Expert clinical nurses (assessment of any technological support to be used at home and implementation of cutting-edge non-pharmacological complementary therapies;
  • Clinical nurse specialists in mental health to support cases with specific symptoms;
  • Care assistants and CRS healthcare collaborators trained in the use of validated and specific relational methods for people with dementia, based on empathic contact that helps reduce stress and maintain the dignity and well-being of people.
Internursing Memocare promotes the creation of an integrated support network with specialized figures and promotes the smooth flow of information within it in order to guarantee global care.
The services are recognized by all Swiss health insurance companies (LaMal).

WHAT WE OFFER

  • Individualized assessment of needs, shared with the user, the family and the doctor (caregiver, specialist);
  • Medical-technical activities: detection of vital parameters, preparation and administration of therapies, dressings, execution of IM, EV infusions...);
  • Basic care: personal hygiene;
  • Support for the caregiver and the family: health education interventions, proposal of physical, financial, psychological and social support based on the situation, "psycho-social" interventions, etc.;
  • Network meetings and family conferences: regular sharing of information with the care network to ensure better and constant continuity of care;
  • Use of validated non-pharmacological complementary therapies (Validation method, doll therapy, etc.);
  • Use of advanced technological tools that can stimulate the residual autonomy of the person and relieve the caregiver from some daily activities.
